A guide to learning English…..
In this blog article, I am presenting you with a tool to help you learn English. This tool is a notebook for guided English writing to help you with writing and expressing yourself in English.
Each theme in this notebook includes key vocabulary, phrases, grammar points, and questions to help you write and express yourself naturally. But don’t stop there — find your own words and expressions too! You may want to say something that isn’t in the book. That’s a good thing.
This notebook can encourage learners to become the active force in their own learning. If you’re using this notebook alone, it helps to already have some knowledge of English(A1). But even if you don’t, you can still begin — try putting sentences together, even if they aren’t entirely correct yet.
What matters is that you are activating your learning process.
It’s also a good idea to work through this notebook with a teacher, tutor, or parent, or any English speaking person. It may feel difficult at first, but the more you practice, the easier it will become. You can use a bilingual dictionary to look up words and expressions by yourself. Eventually, you can use a monolingual dictionary (English). You can also use a travel phrase book giving you some of the essential expressions in everyday life.
Don’t always wait for someone else to give you the answers — this exercise book is designed to help you become more independent and confident in your learning journey.
You can ask your teacher or tutor about words you aren’t sure of. Asking questions is an important part of learning.
You can also use the internet — it’s a great resource — but don’t rely on it completely. Not everything online is accurate. However, using it to make an effort to formulate your own phrases is a step and an aid towards learning. And with time, you will also get used to reading everything in English. You can also use the internet to learn the correct pronunciation of a word.
Repetition and Progress
You are now actively practicing using English. Remember, repetition is essential if you want to learn anything. Repetition creates habits. Habits lead to spontaneity. You may not even notice the change at first — one day, you will simply find yourself writing or speaking more easily.
You have a guide to help you learn to express your thoughts in English. Build your own sentences, explore new words, and learn through doing. Create your own learning method. Even if you make mistakes, keep trying — that’s how you will make progress..
